Tom Ryder Weddings

Suffolk

Wedding singer in Suffolk

Suffolk is a straight run up from me, and travel is 50p a mile from Stansted, so you know the figure before you book.

Suffolk weddings are often outdoors, or half outdoors, or outdoors until somebody looks at the sky. I carry a PA that copes with an open field and every cable and extension I might need, so moving inside is a five minute problem rather than an hour.

I play a lot of barns and country houses up here. Big hard rooms need handling gently, and a solo acoustic set is far kinder in them than a full band at the same volume.

Venues

Suffolk venues I've played

Only the ones I have actually played. If your venue is not on this list it does not matter in the slightest, it just means I will ring them rather than assume.

I also play regularly around Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Woodbridge, Southwold and Framlingham.

Included wherever I play: a professional pa, sized for your room, indoors or outdoors, full setup and soundcheck before your guests arrive, backup equipment for everything, and public liability insurance with the certificate sent to your venue on request.

Ceremony

Music for a Suffolk ceremony

Suffolk ceremonies are often outdoors, or outdoors until somebody looks at the sky, and then they are in a barn. Outdoors there is nothing to reflect the sound back, so the PA does more of the work and I sit nearer to you. In a big hard barn the opposite is true and I can play very quietly indeed.

I carry a battery powered PA and every cable I might need, so moving your ceremony inside is a five minute problem rather than an hour of standing about.

Tom played at our wedding at Apton Hall a couple of weeks ago. He played during our reception drinks and canapés and it worked perfectly. He is an amazing singer and guitarist and it was the perfect accompaniment to our celebrations on our day. So many of our guests commented on how great he was. Tom took requests and played songs he hasn't even played before!

Deborah Ruddock, Apton Hall, Essex

Changeable weather meant moving around a bit but he accommodated us perfectly and sang brilliantly. All of our guests commented on how great Tom was. Tom couldn't have been more helpful, approachable, and answered all of our questions before the wedding speedily and efficiently. We felt we were in good hands before our big day and were assured of it on the day itself.
