Tom Ryder Weddings

Cambridgeshire

Wedding singer in Cambridgeshire

Cambridgeshire is well inside my normal patch, so the travel is a short run at 50p a mile and there is no late arrival.

I play Cambridgeshire regularly, and the mix here tends towards manor houses and long summer afternoons that drift from a garden into a marquee. That is exactly the shape of day a solo acoustic set is built for.

If your day has three or four separate moments in it rather than one big set, tell me. It usually works out cheaper as a package, and I will say so rather than quietly selling you all six parts.

Venues

Cambridgeshire venues I've played

Only the ones I have actually played. If your venue is not on this list it does not matter in the slightest, it just means I will ring them rather than assume.

I also play regularly around Cambridge, Ely, Huntingdon, St Neots and Newmarket.

Included wherever I play: a professional pa, sized for your room, indoors or outdoors, full setup and soundcheck before your guests arrive, backup equipment for everything, and public liability insurance with the certificate sent to your venue on request.

Ceremony

Music for a Cambridgeshire ceremony

Cambridgeshire ceremonies usually sit in a manor house or a garden, with the day drifting from a lawn into a barn or a marquee later on. That means the ceremony music and the drinks music often happen in two different places within half an hour, which is fine, it just wants to be in the running order.

The register signing is the part to plan for here as everywhere: two or three songs rather than one, played quietly while the photographer moves around.

Even now, two weeks on from our wedding day our guests are still mentioning the performance of Tom. He executed the song of our choice better than we could have ever wished for, as my wife walked down the aisle. His energy caused an eruption of unprecedented scenes as guests got up to dance before the speeches had even begun!

Kyle & Kelly Goodman

Changeable weather meant moving around a bit but he accommodated us perfectly and sang brilliantly. All of our guests commented on how great Tom was. Tom couldn't have been more helpful, approachable, and answered all of our questions before the wedding speedily and efficiently. We felt we were in good hands before our big day and were assured of it on the day itself.
