I’m Tom Ryder - an acoustic singer and guitarist based in Little Canfield, Essex, and I’ve been performing at weddings and private events for over a decade.

My Story

I picked up a guitar when I was 14 and haven’t really put it down since. What started as playing open mic nights and local pubs turned into regular bookings at weddings, and once I realised how much I loved being part of someone’s biggest day, I made it my full-time focus.

Since then, I’ve played at more than 100 weddings at venues across the UK - from country houses in Hertfordshire and barns in Cambridgeshire to rooftop terraces in London and coastal venues in Cornwall. I’ve also had the privilege of performing at destination weddings in Italy and Croatia.

Every wedding is different, and that’s what keeps it exciting. Some couples want soft, romantic background music during the ceremony. Others want a lively singalong during the reception. I’ve had guests forming conga lines to Mr Brightside and I’ve had entire rooms in tears during a ceremony walk-in. Both are equally brilliant.

What I promise is this: I’ll arrive early, set up quietly, play to a professional standard, and read the room so the music always fits the moment. I carry backup equipment to every gig. I’m responsive and straightforward to deal with in the planning stages. And I genuinely care about getting it right for you.

I’m fully insured with public liability cover, which most venues require before they’ll allow a live performer on site.
