Wedding singer at Knebworth Barns, Hertfordshire
There really are some spectacular venues in the south east, and Knebworth House and Barns is one of them. Autumn had set in by the time I got there for Danni and Stuart, which gave the whole day a particular light. If you want a wedding singer in Hertfordshire, this is a venue I have played from the aisle through to the evening guests arriving.

When I played there
Danni and Stuart, autumn 2019
Danni and Stuart booked me for their ceremony, their afternoon reception drinks and their wedding breakfast. It was a cool autumn wedding, and Knebworth House is a stunning sight to arrive at.
They chose to have the speeches at the beginning of the meal rather than the end, so the father of the bride, the groom and the best man all did their bit before I started playing through the courses.
The rooms
The rooms, and what they do to sound
The ceremony, the drinks and the meal all happened around the barns. A rustic barn hosted the drinks reception, and Knebworth Barns has plenty of good opportunities for photographs outside, so Danni and Stuart headed out with their guests to get those shots after the ceremony. That gap is worth planning for: the room empties, then fills again.
Once everyone came back into the barn, I played a chilled set while reception drinks and canapes were served, then we moved through for the wedding breakfast. The couple had their names up in lights in there, next to the cake. My shirt clashed quite spectacularly with the carpet, which is the sort of detail you only notice in the photographs afterwards.

Three parts of the day, in order, with the set getting increasingly lively as the meal went on. As the evening guests drifted in, it was time to really get the party started, and my work was done.

Access, power and getting set up

- Sets up in twenty minutes, packs down in twenty.
- Battery-powered PA available where there is no power.
- Public liability insurance, certificate sent to the venue on request.
